Scarce early Paratroop Training Helmet

Prior to the adoption of specialist steel and sorbo rubber helmets, Britain’s first paratroops used the RAF / Air Ministry B-Type helmet, as issued devoid of ear cups. A very good photograph of this helmet in use can be found in Brian Davis' excellent "Key Uniform Guide to British Paratroops". This is the best example I have ever handled.
