Extremely rare Black Watch Officer's Uniform Group
That of a Lieutenant and Chindit. The medal ribbons include the Burma Star, indicating the recipient served with Second Battalion, Chindits during the Far East Campaign. The Battledress bears five War Service chevrons and the Service Dress tunic is named and 1945 dated. I believe the original owner was perhaps promoted from the ranks late in the War or post VE Day, then procuring a Service Dress. The group comprises Battledress Blouse (1944), kilt (1939), Service Dress tunic and tartan trews, Sam Browne belt and brace, Tam o' Shanter and Glengarry.
