De-activated Bren MkI

De-activated Bren MkI

A good de-activated MkI Bren from my own collection. Manufactured at Enfield in 1941, it is serial numbered L3467. Since the photographs were taken, the bipod has been replaced with a MkI adjustable set. An ex New Zealand gun with NZ Ordnance stamps, de-activated in 1995. A lovely example. Sorry, the butt strap and AA butt handle are not included in the sale. For sale within the UK o...  read more

Rare WWI British Army Trench Whistle

Rare WWI British Army Trench Whistle

A rare variant British Army whistle having an integral finger ring. It bears what is surely the most poignant of issue dates, 1914, and is also War Department broad arrow marked. An excellent example.

WWI British Army Issue Trench Wire Cutters

WWI British Army Issue Trench Wire Cutters

Quite simply the best set of WWI British Army long-handled wire cutters I have ever seen. These turn up occasionally though almost invariably are pitted and have wormed or otherwise damaged handles. This set appear virtually mint, even the jaws are near perfect. 1916 dated and impossible to improve.

WWII Mills No36 Officially Sectioned Training Grenade

An excellent example of an original WWII skeletonised No36M grenade. Retaining it's original paint finish and very clearly marked throughout. I should stress this is an original WWII officially sectioned example, not a later re-work.

WWII German Luftwaffe Incendiary Bomb

WWII German Luftwaffe Incendiary Bomb

A particularly good example of a WWII German incendiary bomb. The body bears numerous stamps and is dated 1943, the steel head is also well stamped, while the tail bears a three-letter manufacturers' code kfl. It retains much of it's original finish throughout. While there is scoring due to impact, and some distortion to the tail, this is an above average example of a much sought after ...  read more

An excellent example of the gas detection pump issued to the British Army during WWII. WWII German Stock Mine

WWII German Stock Mine

The Stock Minen consists of a cylindrical concrete main body on top of a short wooden stake (lacking on this example as indeed they invariably are). The concrete head contained an explosive charge, and was embedded with metal chards. A ZZ42 pull fuze is fitted to a central fuze well on the top of the mine. A fascinating original item of WWII German ordnance.
